Overview
The Pixelhue P10 is the entry model in the P Series of FPGA-based presentation switchers, aimed at small and mid-size live events. The input bank gives you 6 inputs total: 4x DP 1.2 / HDMI 2.0 (connector type selectable per input at any given time) plus 2x 12G-SDI with loop-through. Outputs are 2x HDMI 2.0 4K (up to 4096x2160@60Hz HDR, HDCP 2.2) plus 6x HDMI 1.3 for legacy / secondary destinations. 10G OPT fiber extends a copy of the HDMI program up to 10 km on single-mode. The compositing engine handles up to 2x MAIN DL + 4x PIP DL layers (or 1x MAIN 4K + 2x PIP 4K). Advanced DSK is included with Smart key, Luma key, and Chroma key support. Image processing is real 4K60p 4:4:4 10/12-bit FPGA; same control surface, BKG/LOGO storage, AUX outputs, dual Gigabit Ethernet control, and Genlock as the rest of the P Series. The P10 ships at 7.9 kg net (20.6 kg with flight case). Choose the P10 over the P20 when you need fewer 4K layers on screen at once and want lower weight/cost; and over the P20-DS when you don't need 12G-SDI output or Dante audio.
How the OUTPUT · PGM layout works
What is a PGM? “PGM” is short for Program — the finished, composited video the switcher sends out to a display.
How many unique PGMs does the P10 produce? One. The layer engine composites your sources into a single program. That program is then distributed across two OUTPUT slots:
- OUTPUT / PGM — primary: 1× HDMI 2.0 (4K@60 HDR) + 3× HDMI 1.3 (HD / 2K)
- OUTPUT / PGM (Copy) — hardware copy: 1× HDMI 2.0 + 3× HDMI 1.3
Why this mix? The HDMI 2.0 outputs feed your main LED wall at full 4K@60Hz with HDR. The HDMI 1.3 ports feed lower-rate destinations like confidence monitors, recorders, or auxiliary screens — all derived from the same program, no external splitter needed.

All inputs
- INPUT 1–4: each slot has one DP 1.2 + one HDMI 2.0 connector. Selectable per input — when both connectors have signals, only one can be the active source at a time.
- INPUT 5 & 6: two 12G-SDI IN & LOOP connectors each. The IN takes the signal; the LOOP passes it through unchanged for daisy-chaining.
Outputs 1–8 (HDMI 2.0 × 2 + HDMI 1.3 × 6)
The P10 provides 8 HDMI output connectors: 2× HDMI 2.0 (connectors 1 and 5, for the 4K program signal) + 6× HDMI 1.3 (connectors 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, for HD/2K distribution).
- 4K · Switcher mode — Connector 1 is the primary 4K output; connector 5 copies connector 1.
- 4K · PGM-only mode — Connectors 1 and 5 both work as primary 4K outputs and share the same resolution.
- SL · Switcher mode — Connectors 1–4 are primary; 5–8 copy 1–4 respectively. Connectors 1, 2, 3, 4 all share the same resolution.
- SL · PGM-only mode — All 8 connectors work as primary at the same resolution.
OPT 1–4 (optical fiber outputs) — layer modes
Four 10G SFP+ optical fiber ports that copy the HDMI program output. How they map to HDMI depends on the layer mode:
4K — Switcher mode
| OPT 1 | copies left half of HDMI 1 |
|---|---|
| OPT 2 | copies right half of HDMI 1 |
| OPT 3 | copies left half of HDMI 1 |
| OPT 4 | copies right half of HDMI 1 |
4K — PGM-only mode
| OPT 1 | copies left half of HDMI 1 |
|---|---|
| OPT 2 | copies right half of HDMI 1 |
| OPT 3 | copies left half of HDMI 5 |
| OPT 4 | copies right half of HDMI 5 |
SL — Switcher mode
| OPT 1 | copies HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 |
|---|---|
| OPT 2 | copies HDMI 3 and HDMI 4 |
| OPT 3 | copies HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 |
| OPT 4 | copies HDMI 3 and HDMI 4 |
SL — PGM-only mode
| OPT 1 | copies HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 |
|---|---|
| OPT 2 | copies HDMI 3 and HDMI 4 |
| OPT 3 | copies HDMI 5 and HDMI 6 |
| OPT 4 | copies HDMI 7 and HDMI 8 |
MVR — Multiviewer output (operator monitoring)
1× HDMI 1.3 dedicated to the Multiviewer. Plug a monitor in here and it shows a tiled grid of every input source plus PVW and PGM thumbnails on one display.
The MVR feed never goes to the LED wall. It's a confidence-monitor feed only. Pick from the built-in layout templates.
- Default resolution: 1920×1080 @ 60 Hz
- Frame rate is adjustable
AUX — Auxiliary program outputs (second screens)
2× HDMI 1.3 AUX outputs. Each AUX is its own second program-style output with its own layer engine — pick any input source, PVW, or PGM and stage it independently of what's on the main LED wall.
Typical destinations: teleprompter, lobby display, ISO recorder, streaming encoder.
- Default resolution: 1920×1080 @ 60 Hz
- Maximum resolution: 2048×1152 @ 60 Hz
- Supports interlaced output (1080i, etc.)
Need more than 2 independent aux feeds? The P20 doubles this to 4× AUX.
Audio (future updates)
Four 3.5 mm dual-channel audio jacks (2× line in, 2× line out) are wired on the rear panel. The audio function will be implemented in future firmware updates.
Need working analog audio + networked Dante audio today? Step up to the P20-DS.
CONTROL — Ethernet + Genlock
2× Gigabit Ethernet ports for control and live input view (primary + backup, shared IP address).
Genlock IN + LOOP — BNC sync signal input with loop-through for daisy-chaining.
